Question 1

What are the silver orb posts (not the lampposts) seen next to the paths?
- They are the ventilation posts of the district heating owned by Turku Energia, the local providor.

Question 2

Why does a bus timetable only provide the starting time of the bus and not the stops inbetween?
-We don't know whether this is a cultural thing, but we think it's not mentioned simply because the arrival times vary so widely during the weekdays and the weekends. Too many complaints for being early or late. :)

Question 3

Why do Finns always pull a number (bank, stores...), even if there is nobody waiting?
-Due the courtesy for others and also to notify the clerks. Most people use the systems automatically before even checking the availability of customer service. We think is an obedience thing. We stand in the red lights also, even if there are nobody around. At least some of us. :)
